Establishing New Holiday Traditions
While the Covid virus has caused so much loss and many disruptions across the planet, there’s another facet that rarely gets much attention; the loss of tradition. While we’ve been able to return to many of these traditions again in 2021, some remain nearly impossible to regain. Whether it’s celebrating a holiday or an annual event, some people are creating new traditions for 2022 to replace traditions and experiences that may have been lost since 2020.
We are always so proud when families and friends make Villa Oasis a part of their biggest life celebrations - whether it’s a birthday, wedding anniversary or actual holiday event. While Thanksgiving and Christmas weeks at our beachfront home have always been one of the most sought after bookings, we are now welcoming repeat guests who want to frequent our Villa during the same time each year.
Last week, we got the following email from a Villa Oasis guest who stayed during November:
“What a wonderful time we had at your villa! You have such a beautiful home and such a fantastic spot on the island. We found something new to admire every day. We loved how the trees provide so much privacy but allow you to see the beach and the water. We spent every day lounging in your pool - the water temperature was just right. Really everything was so perfect. It was very sad to leave. We keep looking at all of our pictures and we’d like to come back next year during the same week, if possible.”
This great group of friends (see photo above) took things one step further! Beyond just sending us a great email and a request for booking in 2022, she also left us a very positive five-star review on our VRBO page, which reads in part:
“My husband and I and our friends rented the main part of the villa (4 bedrooms) for a relaxing getaway. It couldn’t have been any better! Villa Oasis is a beautiful, private villa on the most perfect beach I’ve ever been to. Katalin is a lovely person and was very helpful in answering all of our questions and making sure that we had everything we needed before and during our stay. Romeo was there to meet us at the airport and available every day to take care of every one of our needs (groceries, driving, laundry, etc). We had planned to go out to dinner more than we did but it was so nice at the villa that we wanted to take our time and linger together in our perfect spot. We honestly couldn’t have been any happier and we are planning our next trip back.”
