Dreaming of Swimming with Dreamer, The Dolphin?

January is typically a very quiet time for us here at Villa Oasis. It’s a great time for us to make some maintenance improvements, take a dip in the infinity pool on nice days and reflect on all the friends we made in the prior year. Our guestbook is one of our most treasured items in this big house because it contains so much happiness for us. It’s a history of happiness, really!

During Memorial Day Weekend of 2022, we had a large group of friends stay with us. That’s the great thing about being able to host 14 adults under one roof; it makes reunions with family or friends both easy and affordable for all. These three different families, two from Ohio and one family from Wilmington, North Carolina, wrote this beautiful message to us that we wanted to share with you:

While it’s great to hear how wonderful their holiday at Villa Oasis was, with celebrating college graduations and all, we really LOVE the sentence about swimming with Dreamer and Bow, our native dolphins in Turks and Caicos. These are the kinds of experiences that you simply will NEVER forget in your lifetime. While many tourist destinations intentionally capture dolphins to make it easier for more visitors to “swim” with dolphins in underwater pens, our dolphins are wild and free. The way they were born and should always be.

We want to introduce you to Dreamer, one of a few dolphins who are wild and free but very frequently visit with people snorkeling in some of the most beautiful waters in the world.
