Turks and Caicos Requires Full Vaccination Prior to Entry

In our last blog post we shared an important health standard that the Turks and Caicos Islands achieved by named as One of the Most Inoculated Countries In The World by the CDC. Now our health officials have take another step to keep our country even more healthy than before. Earlier this month they implemented a new travel requirement that says everyone over the age of 16 must have had their full vaccinations (both does) at least 14 days prior to their entry into TCI.

More details about this change are available here in this story by the Caribbean Journal - Turks and Caicos to Require Proof of Vaccination for Travel.

Unfortunately, handwritten vaccination cards are not acceptable proof for entry. The TCI Assured portal process that we’ve written about previously, requires digital or “e-cards” from either CVS or Walgreens apps, or vaccination letters signed by doctors.

While raising the bar for healthy tourists entering our country makes travel a bit more complex, we believe it provides additional relief to those actually visiting our home and our world-renowned beaches. We understand that not everyone who has already booked with Villa Oasis is vaccinated yet; hopefully this new policy change will give them motivation to do so. And we also believe that a few may not actually conclude their vaccination process prior to their travel dates - especially for bookings in September and October. For that reason - if you have an interest in staying at Villa Oasis over the next few months, and we were booked before, it makes sense to contact us again today to see if we have any new openings that result from this new vaccination requirement!
