Ready for Your Post-Vaccination Vacation?

With three approved vaccination suppliers within the United States now, and more than 25 million Americans already vaccinated, it’s clear that our year under quarantine is quickly coming to an end. Not to mention we have Spring in the air and affordable airfare to just about everywhere - including the Turks and Caicos Islands! It’s no surprise that the national news media is now covering the emerging 2021 trend of “Post-Vaccination Vacations”!

What is a Post-Vaccination Vacation?

Given that seniors and older adults, usually 65 years of age and older, were the very first Americans vaccinated, they are the first group feeling a greater sense of freedom to travel and to finally bring their families together safely. A year spent missing out on birthdays, holidays and anniversaries simply cannot be made up with more Zoom calls. A group vacation that brings your family together safely is what thousands are seeking now in 2021, but how can that be done safely? Here are a few Post-Vaccination Vacation tips to keep in mind:

  1. Avoid Large Crowds: It’s not surprising that cruise ships and large all-inclusive resorts are still not open for business yet. Find your family a sanitized private home or beachfront villa that you can all occupy without sharing with strangers, and where it’s easy to dine outside for breakfast, lunch or dinner!

  2. Check Covid Testing Requirements: Even though you may have received your vaccinations, others within your family or group may have not been authorized yet. As we’ve shared before, our Turks and Caicos Islands (TCI) officials have created an easy-to-use portal, called TCI Assured, that puts all of your required travel documents in one online source.

  3. Fly Smart & Safe: While you’ll pick a safe destination for your family, getting there could be a concern, so keep a few travels tips in mind: Stay masked, wipe down surrounding surfaces and hand sanitize frequently. You’ll be able to relax once you arrive, but be diligent on your flights into and out of Providenciales International Airport (PLS) - just 10 minutes from Villa Oasis. Also for those in your family that are still in school, be sure to check local quarantine requirements for when returning from travel.

As always, we are dedicated to safely sharing the Villa Oasis experience with your family! We looking forward to doing whatever it takes to make our oceanfront villa “Your Island Home Away From Home”! Contact us today to discuss vacation dates for 2021 and 2022 as well.
